簡 介
武凯,男,汉族,1953年生於河南项城市。现为中国书法家协会会员、新疆书法家协会理事、创作评审委员会委员、篆刻委员会副主任、新疆美术家协会会员、昌吉学院美术系副教授。
1978年考入昌吉学院美术系,学习素描油画;1981年毕业留校,从事素描、版画及艺术设计教学;1985年接受黄惇先生书法教育,从此担任昌吉学院专职书法篆刻教师;1987年至1988年,师从李刚田先生学习书法篆刻;1988年至1989年在南京艺术学院进修,受业於黄惇先生门下,系统地学习了中国书法篆刻艺术史及金石碑帖学,书法临习《石门颂》《张迁碑》及北魏墓志、敦煌写经、楼兰残纸等,作品格调生拙、闲散、质朴、率真,不随世俗,不追时风,独具个性。
作品曾入选“全国首届篆刻艺术展”“第三届全国正书大展”“第四届全国楹联书法大展”“千人千作书法大展”;入围“第九届全国书法篆刻展览”;作品在北京2008奥运会国家体育馆展出並被收藏;部分论文和作品分别在《中国书法》《中国书画》《书法报》《书法导报》等专业刊物发表;先后荣获“九成宫杯全国书法大赛”二等奖,“首届中国职工艺术节书法美术作品展”铜奖,第一、二届“新疆书法艺术贡献奖”“新疆德艺双馨文艺百佳奖”。曾应邀赴韩国交流访问,艺术简历和作品载入《当代中国书法艺术大成》《中国印学年鉴》等辞书和作品集。出版有《迎奥运新疆中青年代表书法家书法作品集·武凯卷》。
Profle
Wu Kai was born in Xiangcheng, Henan province in 1953. He is now a member of China Calligraphers Association, a director of Xingjiang Calligraphers Association, a member of Creation and Assessment Committee, deputy director of Seal Cutting Committee, a member of Xinjiang Artists Association and an associate professor in the Arts Department of Changji Institute.
Wu Kai was enrolled by the Arts Department of Changji Institute in 1978. His major was sketch and oil painting. After graduation in 1981, he took a teaching position there and was engaged in teaching sketch, woodcutting and designing. In 1985, tutored by Mr. Huang Dun in calligraphy, he became a professional calligraphy teacher. From 1987 to 1988, as a student of Mr. Li Gangtian, Wu Kai studied seal cutting. In the next two years, he received further education at Nanjing Arts Institute and again learned from Mr. Huang
Dun. There he took lessons in the history of Chinese calligraphy and seal cutting as well as epigraphy systematically. He practiced calligraphy after masterpieces like Ode to himeng, Memorial Tablet for Zhang Qian, the inscriptions of the Northern Dynasty, Dunhuang’s hand-written copy of Buddhist scriptures and Loulan’s calligraphic fragments, etc. His works displays a style of awkwardness, simplicity and frankness, free from vulgarity and unique in character.
Wu Kai’s calligraphic works and seals were selected by the frst National Seal Exhibition, the third National Round Hand Calligraphy Exhibition, the fourth Nation Calligraphic Couplets Exhibition, the Exhibition of a Thousand Artists’ a Thousand Calligraphic Works and the ninth National Calligraphy and Seal Cutting Exhibition. His works was once exhibited and housed in National Indoor Stadium of 2008 Beijing Olympics. Some of his papers and works were published in professional periodicals such as China alligraphy, Chinese Calligraphy and Painting, and Calligraphy Guide, etc. Wu also won many prizes, including the second prize of the Jiuchenggong National Calligraphy Contest, the bronze medal of the Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition of the frst Chinese Worker’s Art Festival, the frst and second awards for outstanding contribution to Xinjiang’s calligraphy and arts and the award for the top 100 fgures with superb skills and good virtues in Xinjiang. Moreover, Wu Kai was invited to South Korea for artistic exchanges. His profle and works were published in Great Achievements of Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy and Arts, China Seal Cutting Yearbook and The Beijing Olympics Collection of the Works by Xijiang’s Representative Middle-aged and Young Calligraphers.
